Karida Kadubu/Karjikayi
This authentic Karnataka style offering is sweet in taste, with a balanced mixture of Togari Bele / Toor-dal and Bella /Jaggery and other ingredients in the core with a crunchy covering of a well-fried, fine mixture of Chiroti Rava and Maida. Karida Kadubu is believed to be the favourite dish of Lord Ganesha. Hence, Karida Kadubu is the main offering during the auspicious festival of Varasiddhi Vinayaka Vratha, Bheemana Amavasya and Dasara. Karida Kadubu is also one amongst the main dishes offered to the pregnant women during the ceremony of Seemantha.
